We are proud to stand with the Queensland Rugby League in supporting QRL Respect Month 2026, a statewide initiative reminding everyone involved in Community Rugby League that creating a fun and safe environment for participants is everyone’s responsibility.
Throughout May, clubs and match officials across Queensland will take part in QRL Respect Round, held at Community Rugby League fixtures across the state. This campaign highlights the importance of respecting others, respecting yourself, and respecting the game we all love.
For referees, this month is an opportunity to keep contributing at every ground: positivity, safety, and mutual respect.
Match officials will participate in the pre‑game Respect Round handshake with team captains, supported by applause from the crowd—an important moment that sets the tone for the game ahead.
Together, we can continue building an environment where players, volunteers, referees and families feel safe, valued and supported.
